im an artist and would like to submit an drawing. i am jus confused about dcu batgirls. are you talking about the batgirls with the different suits? or different dc comic superhero girls in gerenal as being BFF?
AnonymousThe concept is specifically geared towards telling stories about the 3 DCU batgirls (Barbara Gordon, Cassandra Cain, and Stephanie Brown) not just any gals in DCU — although cameos are encouraged. It will help you a lot if you read the About and the FAQ pages.
Generally we’re looking for script submissions as opposed to art, but if you want to do art, I’m not going to say no. Just understand that submissions aren’t guaranteed to be posted. They have to fit with what we want to have on this tumblr.

I think it’s obvious, but…
Just so everyone knows, Batgirls isn’t going to continue. It was a fun idea. I was really stoked about it. Then my scanner died. And both my computers. By the time I was up and running again, I had a) lost a lot of the inspiration-fire for doing it, b) had a couple of Steph/10-year-old-Damian questionable scripts in my inbox — and pedophilia personally squicks me in ways I cannot explain, and c) had an ask box full of vitriol over why I had/should or had-not/should-not deal with everything from Cassandra’s cowl change, everyone’s sexuality, Babs disability, etc… It was just too much. A few of them were polite and genuinely concerned enough, but a lot were just sheer anger, cursing and yeah.
I’m just not capable of dealing with that much anger on a regular basis — especially on something I meant to be lighthearted fun. Just can’t do it.
Anybody wants this account, I’ll hand it over happily, strips-to-date and submissions, minus the vitriol — that’s been deleted, in tact.
